Munakata Firefly Village Park (Yamada Urban Forest)

Nature park where fireflies dance fantastically

During the firefly season from late May to mid-June, many people visit this nature park to see the fantastic sight of fireflies flying in groups. The pleasant breeze blowing across the stream, the walking paths and pathways, and the playground equipment for children make it a great place for a stroll. At the "Firefly Pavilion" in the park, you can see panels introducing the ecology of fireflies and how fireflies are bred.
Ask the staff of the Munakata Water and Greenery Association's Firefly Committee for an explanation.
