Chikushino Tenpainosato

筑紫野 天拝の郷

A day-use bathing facility located slightly away from Futsukaichi Onsen, halfway up Mt. Tenpaizan.
From here, you can enjoy sweeping views over the Dazaifu city area and Mt. Homan.
The onsen water rises from 1,499 meters underground and is a simple onsen often associated with easing neuralgia, muscle fatigue, and general tiredness.
Alongside indoor baths, there’s a scenic open-air bath where a refreshing mountain breeze enhances the sense of openness.
Tenpainosato is also well known among sauna enthusiasts.
The men’s bath features a self löyly sauna and a convection-style dry sauna, while the women’s bath offers an auto löyly sauna and a salt sauna.
Cold baths filled with natural groundwater from Mt. Tenpaizan complete the experience.
Many sauna fans visit daily in search of a deeply refreshing reset for both body and mind.
