Yamanokotobuki Brewery
山の壽酒造
Good Times with Yamanokotobuki
Founded in 1818, the brewery was established in Kitano Town, Mitsui District (present-day Kurume City), once part of the Kurume Domain, known as a “rice domain” producing 210,000 koku of rice. At that time, the domain faced financial austerity and farmers lived modestly. As a new industry, sake brewing began using local rice and underground water from the Chikugo River.
More than 200 years later, Yamanokotobuki continues to value gratitude to nature, sharing joy with people, humility, and harmony in crafting fine sake.
