Wakamatsu Port Festival

Last year’s hugely popular “Wakamatsu Work Park” is back—bigger and better than ever! Events that had been paused during the pandemic, such as the Karaoke Battle and interactive race competitions, will also make their long-awaited return.
Visitors can look forward to traditional performances like the “Goheita Bayashi”, a lively rhythm once sung by the boatmen who carried coal on the Goheita-bune, as well as hula dancing, boating and canoeing, and hands-on fishing experiences.

Starting in 2025, the “Kukinoumi Fireworks Festival” will be held in October instead of summer, when the weather is more stable and the risk of typhoons or heatstroke is lower. The fireworks show will take place on Saturday, October 25, the day before the Wakamatsu Minato Festival. Get ready for an even more exciting celebration with fireworks lighting up the night sky!
