Kokura Castle Sakura Festival

Various cherry blossoms such as Kawazu-zakura, Yokou, Somei-Yoshino, and Maihime bloom in succession throughout the festival period, creating a spectacular display of blossoms. After sunset, the cherry trees are illuminated with lantern and paper-lantern lights, allowing visitors to enjoy a magical nighttime cherry-blossom stroll different from the daytime atmosphere.

During the event, there will be greetings from the Kokura Castle warrior team, immersive Edo-period townscape settings, hospitality in traditional attire, hands-on activities such as shuriken throwing and archery, and many other participatory attractions that let you experience the castle town culture. A wide variety of local gourmet stalls will also gather!
