Mojiko Port Retro sightseeing train "Shiokaze-go" - Kitakyushu Bank Retro Line

門司港レトロ観光列車「潮風号」~北九州銀行レトロライン~

A short trip to enjoy the retro cityscape from the slowest trolley train in Japan

Mojiko Retro sightseeing train "Shiokaze-go" runs with the sea breeze through the Taisho-romantic city. It is a cool marine blue trolley train with two passenger cars sandwiched between a small diesel locomotive.

The train departs from "Kyushu Railway Museum Station" just after getting off at JR Mojiko Station, passes through "Idemitsu Museum of Arts Station" and "Norfolk Square Station," and then goes through a tunnel to arrive at the last stop, "Kanmon Kaikyo Mekari Station. The train offers an exhilarating short trip of 2.1 km, or about 10 minutes, with a view of the fashionable Mojiko Retro District and the magnificent Kanmon Straits stretching out from the train window, as it rattles along at a leisurely pace.

The "Clover Ticket," which allows visitors to fully enjoy the Kanmon area by land and sea, is especially recommended. Take the "Shiokaze-go" and get off at "Kanmon Kaikyo Mekari Station," then take a stroll in Mekari Park. After that, cross over to Shimonoseki, Honshu, via Japan's only undersea humanitarian tunnel, and take the "Sanden Bus" from the "Mimosusogawa Bus Stop" to the Karato area, famous for its market and aquarium. The tour concludes with a return trip from Shimonoseki Karato to Moji Port by "Kanmon Kisen" (steamer). We hope you will experience a new way to enjoy the Kanmon area.
