JR Mojiko Station

Mojiko Station is a 2-story building constructed in the Renaissance style with high historical valuable as one of the older station buildings in Kyushu. With its meter- (appx. 3 foot-)long bronze water basin, brass-wrapped polished pillars, and roof covered in 1,500 square meters (about 16,146 square feet)of bronze sheet and 700 meters (appx. 2297 feet) of straights, the station reflects the air it had as a former important land transport location.
*About the Building: Government Designated Important Cultural Asset; opened February 1, 1914; area - 1,184 square meters (about 12,745 square feet)
*Accessibility: Wheelchair ramp; wheelchair rental; textured paving blocks for the visually impaired; guide dogs permitted
