【Shiraito Brewery】Kurabiraki “Hanegi Festival”

At Shiraito Brewery in Itoshima City, the “Shiraito Brewery Opening – Hanegi Festival” is held in February and April.

“Hanegi pressing,” which uses a massive wooden lever called a hanegi to press sake, is a rare traditional method today. The annual spring new-sake pressing and brewery opening have become a seasonal tradition of Itoshima.
